Matte Painting Progress


Perspective Lines

There was once a peaceful planet, but one day it was drastically attacked by it's sister planet due to lack of resources. The sister planet got jealous and the planet that was attacked wasn't being fair about the trades, thus the attack happened.

  1. I like where you are going with this but be careful of making the scene to "busy". Where is the audience's eye meant to go??

    If you have creatures / aliens in the scene, please give me a few thumbnails for each creature. What are some other details about this planet? Cold or hot, rocky or lush and verdant? What is the weather like? How many moons does it have? etc.

    Also, the first version of the painting was supposed to be in color!

  2. Last thing... even if this a very chaotic battle, you can still use the rule of thirds in the composition. Move the vanishing point to a focal point using the rule of thirds.
